Use the R.E.S.I.S.T. Framework created by Claudia Crawley, designed to offer practical steps to actively challenge racism.
- (R)ecognize and acknowledge that racism exists, even within ourselves.
- (E)ducate yourself and others about racism.
- (S)upport and amplify voices from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.
- (I)nterrupt racist behavior when you see it, including your own if you're called out.
- (S)pot who is sitting in positions of power/decision-making. Who might be missing there? What needs to be done?
- (T)alk about racism with friends, family, and co-workers to normalize discussions about anti-racism. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
